REVEREND NATHAN COLEMAN, PASTOR
March 17, 2020
Dear Bethel Baptist Church Family Member,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
As you are well aware by now the Corona Virus has gripped our nation and the world. In response to this serious national and global emergency, all church meetings and events have been canceled and the Church will be closed in accordance to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Wanting to avoid contributing to the spread of the virus, our motivation took into consideration the health of our members and surrounding community.
Although, the church building is closed the fellowship of Bethel Baptist Church is very much alive! The church has faced difficulties in the past and has risen to the challenge through prayer, our faith and trusting in Jesus Christ. During this period the church will communicate with you via text message or email, the church website, phone calls or messages on the church phone. There are many church sermons available on this site. I also encourage you to continue your faithful financial giving to the church. Your financial stewardship is important, especially at a time such as this. Please mail your tithes and offerings to the church address (412 Fairview Street Phoenixville, PA 19460), arrangements have been made to collect them daily.
In the midst of our current crisis, we recall the difficult journey of Jesus that eventually led him to an “old rugged cross”. Just as Jesus depended on God for his ministry, so our current social situation leads us closer to God and opportunities to serve our sisters and brothers as well as our neighbors. Take this time to grow in your relationship with God and in prayer, slow down with regard to your busy schedule, support and pray for those in the health care community and stay home! In a crisis we are not a people gripped by fear but grabbed by God’s grace. We hold onto God, through our faith in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
We will get through this crisis if we work together. Be safe, be well, be blessed!
Yours in Christ,
Reverend Nathan Coleman, Pastor

From the Pastor:
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We give praise, glory, and honor to Almighty God who continues to give victory in Jesus Christ. We are grateful to God for the vision of the founders to establish a black Baptist church in Phoenixville. We honor the past leaders, the members who currently worship, and the members who are somewhere around God’s eternal throne.
As we reflect on our journey, our souls look back and wonder how “We’ve Come This Far By Faith.” Our desire to serve humanity and our stead fast trust in God has sustained us over the years and still inspires us in the present. We have discovered and continue to discover that, as we work, there is hidden in our labor, a blessing that can only come from above.
Bethel Baptist is a church with a firm foundation of faith that informs our present ministry and enables us to view a future that is characterized by hope and new vision. Let us continue to move forward in faith.
May God continue to bless Bethel Baptist Church and let us not so much seek a blessing, but strive to be a blessing!
Yours in Christ,
Reverend Nathan Coleman, Pastor

The Vision for Bethel Baptist Church is to create a Christian community where God is faithfully worshipped and people are lovingly served. We are a church guided by faith in God as revealed in Jesus Christ. We are called to grow together in our spiritual and moral development, and lovingly share our faith in our words and deeds with others. We seek to discover opportunities to socially engage the surrounding community through our collective witness and compassionate social service and outreach.
